CAT-A-PULT

A cat that just launches herself
Into everything.
Illiterate.
Her signature is pain.

"Meow," says a passerby.
Last thing he'll ever say.

She juggles crystals in her sleep.
She calls it a "habit".
Eye of the beholder, I guess.
Me,
I call-that a sleep-juggling-feline-witch.
But again,
That's just me.

One day I saw her stretched out on the ground.
Sleeping like a drugged moose,
All heavy of breath,
So I stood on the couch and pointed at her,
Made some sly remark about how cats think they can just sleep anywhere they want.
Then,
CAT-A-PULT to the face.
You can call that a lot of things.
I call it
A lesson learned.
